Sunrise in the obx
Good morning from the #OBX. A nice thunderstorm rolled through last night which should cool it off just a little today. Hoping the rest of the day is as beautiful as the #sunrise.
So it has been far too long since I’ve posted here… So I finally downloaded the WordPress App.
My friend over at http://www.BigTNYC.com just launched the most delicious teas I have ever tried. I highly recommend these…so good that my wife has nearly given up coffee…worth every penny. I’m trying to help her out by finding some inspiring photos of teas for her.
Would love to see some inspiration if you have any. I have a few other options that I’ll post over the next few days.
Christmas tree ornaments can make for fantastic photographs. They don’t move…they smile you want them to. The only downside is that sometimes the dog knocks a few down and they break. Take out your tripod and play around with your settings; get to know your camera. The f-stops and the exposure levels can make for some interesting photos…and if that doesn’t do it for you, use your Raw settings and create a wonderful HDR to ensure that those Christmas lights don’t overpower your ornaments.

Happy Holidays from 1985…
It was about 3 years ago when we were all gathering in Chicago to celebrate Rick & Sophie getting married. They had this cool venue decorated beautifully…and this flower was attached to this fantastic metal door. Had to get the photo. It’s blown up in our living room printed onto wood through my website.
Hope you like it as much as we do.

This past weekend, we took a snowboarding trip with some friends in Winter Park, Colorado. We were lucky enough to get some excellent snow and some great sunshine.
Let me know what you think.
Stayed at an amazing place in Winter Park, Colorado. This was taken off the back deck at Sunset after a long day of Snowboarding.
We were out on a visit to Governors Island in New York in July and everyone was kind enough to sit still long enough for this shot. There was an art display built up along the lawn that made this photo fun to play with.
It’s cold and rainy here this week so I needed something to make me think of warmer temperatures…
Governors Island, New York City in July.
Was walking through the city with my camera and just took this snapshot…played around with some setting and this is the result.

One of the few times in New York where you won’t find any people…so I took a picture. I liked the bench and the curved wall heading off into the distance.
Lonely Bench in NYC
This is Easton…he is 10 weeks old and he doesn’t trust the camera yet. He’s about a 1/2 second away from pouncing in the direction of the camera to try and eat it.
He has a facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/EastonVanceGrimes
