Took this at Urban Fresh when we had a group of wonderful red mums all lined up. We have this one blown up in our place at about 6-feet wide. Just adds a burst of red to any room.
Hope you like it.

Took this at our friend’s wedding reception…the light level was outrageously low. The ceilings were high so not much to bounce the flash off of. The only thing left to do was adjust the ISO and pray. Luckily, I caught this photo mid throw. This is one of my favorite photos and I was able to salvage some of the grain in the photo by enhancing the grain and just enjoying the different look and feel.

Took these in Boston in May and just loved the perspective of the yellow tulips and how they caught the sun.

I took this photo with my first macro lens….had my tripod out and kept adjusting the aperature to get just the right photo. The inside of this flower was simply beautiful and I wanted it just right. Not sure I ever got there, but this was one of my favorites. I really like that the flower fills the frame and then some.

This little guy was somewhat aggressive and was NOT a fan of having his photo taken. I tried to get him to sign the waiver to allow his photo to be used on the web…he refused. Hopefully his lawyer can’t find me.
No really, he kept coming at me…I eventually had to move a little quicker in order to get away. Click on the image for more photos of this area in Lincoln Park.
Yes, just a cart path. I was up at the Kohler Resort in Wisconsin and took a wander in the evening hoping to catch a nice sunset. Happened to come by the Blackwolf Run Golf Course in the evening and found this simple curved cart path. I love the top of the grass and how golden it was in contrast to the rough on the other side and it looked wonderful in the evening.
Hope you like it. Click on the image to see more golf photos.

A few years back, a few of us were able to watch a practice round for the Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest (Sugar Grove, IL). It was an absolutely beautiful day and we just walked around taking photos. The golfers for both the Europeans and the Americans were incredibly nice and had no issues with us taking photos while they played.
Here is an approach shot from one of the American women…

In DC this year, we took a visit to the Botanical Garden and found this wonderful display of figurines…I’m not even sure if that is what we should call them. They had little models and figurines built into some wonderful displays and even had a train going by for the holidays.
My wife actually had my camera and was busy taking photos of all of the little figurines…not sure if we even took any photos of the flowers.
Longing for summer….took this in Playa del Carmen on a vacation a few years back. I had to use HDR to get the palm tree to show up as it was mostly in its own shadow.
Just trying to think warmer.
